Of studies and surveys

For those of you who don't know, I started a Masters in IT a few weeks back. And now the assignments are coming thick and fast! Just finished one now - a 'position statement', as the first part of an online debate starting tomorrow and continuing until next Monday. I'm glad it's submitted! I find it's always such a good feeing when it's handed in. (I'm studying 'online', so I submit my assignments over the net. So it doesn't matter if I submit it at 10.58pm!)

For another assignment, I'm about to write a 3000 word Journal Article, to be published in an online Academic Journal. I finished the abstract last Wednesday (it was due Thursday). It has to be on a current 'issue' within the area of Information Management. I chose (and they approved) to do a case study of the GOT website, looking at the knowledge transfer of computer skills, as evidenced by your posting etc on the site. I'm SO excited about the assignment! I've already sent out surveys to selected GOT members (sorry if you weren't one of them, but I couldn't survey all 500 odd of you!) and received almost all of them back already! So thank you SO much for completing my survey, if you were one of the 'selected', and thank you EVERYONE for "talk"-ing on the site and giving me something to write about!

When the journal article is finished, I shall post a copy of it here, for you to read, okay?
