Well wadaya know ... it worked, though it saved itself to my hard drive, so ensued a frustrating game of hide and seek to find the blessed thing ... cunning old buggar came up trumps though.

Pity John. Yep ... you mostly need Photoshop to convert those pesky obscure graphic formats. However, a useful alternative used to be a free appl. called 'Graphic Converter'. By reputation, it did practically nothing else but display a beaut ability to open and convert every graphic format known to man. When you get a mo. google it, if you have a number of old graphics you'd like to share. Then convert to 72dpi JPEG and 'bob's your uncle!'
