7 the Modem

The modem is the part of the computer that connects you to the internet. They can either be inbuilt, or external. There are many different variables, depending on what your computer has. If you have an external modem, it will also (usually!) come with some form of instructions, either in a book, booklet, pamphlet or CD. These instructions will tell you how to set up and use your modem. If it’s inbuilt, you shouldn’t need to worry about it at all!
