0 Using a Mac
Well, this is one Computer Help Guide that I really NEEDED help to write, knowing virtually nothing about Apple Macs! However, one of our users has sent me an excellent link for Mac users; I have posted it at the bottom of this article. He had changed to Mac last year and found it very useful. There are also others, of course, however this was the one that he found was the most helpful as a Mac 'virgin'.
As a new Mac user, he initially found that some things appeared more difficult on the Mac but mainly because he was trying to make the processes more difficult than it needed to be. His computer usage is mainly email, internet and photos. One aspect that he found so much easier was "Dragging and dropping" of files, photos etc. On a Mac, it is so simple to move them around, just as you can drag photos from the Internet straight onto your desktop.
Don't forget: clicking on this link will navigate you away from GoodOldTalk. If you wish to come back here once you have finished reading the information on their site, feel free to "Set GoodOldTalk as your Home Page" (button found on our Home Page - just click on the 'Home' button on the right to get there) and then, to come back from anywhere, all you need to do is click on the button at the top of your screen which looks like a little house. Alternatively, you can left-click on a GoodOldTalk page (anywhere on the page, except for on an advertisement) and then click on 'Add to favourites'. Then you will always be able to get back to GoodOldTalk by using your "favourites" drop down box.
