Advanced Guide - Saving email contents

In response to a query from NannyP, please find below some suggestions on how to save the contents of your emails.

An easy way to save the text of your emails is to transfer them to a Word document (or whichever wordprocessing software you are using). Then save them - I find it helpful to use the name of the person who sent me the email as the title of the document. Eg. Jenny1, Jenny2, Jenny3 etc.

Attachments to emails, whether photos, PDF files, or anything else, are also easy to save. As you download the attachment, once you have viewed it, then click on 'File-Save', the same way as you would normally. Again, make sure you title the file with a word / phrase you'll remember!

Once the emails are safely saved onto your computer, to transfer these to a disc / CD / USB storage device is easy. See "6 Transferring Data" for more information on this.
